Harbourside Energy is the exclusive provider of the Boiler Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP); an intelligent boiler optimisation solution designed to reduce unnecessary firing cycles and improve overall heating efficiency.
BEEP can be retrospectively fitted to the majority of gas and oil-fired commercial boilers, without the need for major plantroom alterations.
Energy savings of up to 18% can be expected in suitable applications.
What Is BEEP?
The Boiler Energy Efficiency Programme is a compact, non-invasive control optimisation unit that improves how a boiler responds to heating demand. Rather than allowing a boiler to fire purely to maintain its own internal temperature, BEEP distinguishes between a genuine space heating demand (building heat requirement), and a boiler’s internal heat maintenance cycle.
By intelligently managing this distinction, unnecessary firing cycles are reduced, delivering measurable fuel savings while maintaining comfort levels.
How It Works
Traditional boiler systems often fire periodically to maintain internal operating temperatures, even when the building does not require additional heat.
BEEP continuously monitors system behaviour and identifies whether a firing cycle is driven by a true heating demand signal, or triggered solely to maintain boiler temperature.
Where appropriate, the system suppresses unnecessary firing events, allowing the plant to operate more efficiently without compromising system performance or safety.
